A lifelong athlete, and after having suffered several injuries herself, Valérie decided to undertake the Bac-Master's degree in Physiotherapy at Laval University, which she completed in 2017. Valérie knew from high school that she wanted to both become a physiotherapist and have her own clinic. In order to achieve these two dreams, she therefore aligned her choices at a very young age to stick to the field of physiotherapy and fuel her passion for the profession.
She worked as a receptionist in several private clinics and then continued her apprenticeships as a medical student. She was involved as a trainer with several sports events and teams, including ÉTS men's university rugby for three years and a half IRONMAN in Mont-Tremblant. She has treated athletes in several other sports including soccer, handball, basketball, soccer, dragon boat, hockey, and gymnastics.
She herself played handball for over 12 years and now focuses on yoga, hiking when she is not doing all sorts of activities with her two young children. Since her beginnings as a physiotherapist, Valérie has aimed to improve her knowledge through several training courses including manual therapy, concussion treatment, cranial and vestibular treatment. This therapist will know how to accompany you and team up with you in your rehabilitation with her energy, a contagious laugh and a lot of empathy.
As a founding member of the Clinique Dimensions Santé cooperative, she succeeded in creating, with her partners, a clinic that more than ever meets her human vision of physiotherapy care with all the rigor and expertise that this requires. She will know how to invest in your goals while keeping in mind her guiding principle: to help people's well-being in a caring manner and to help you regain your full potential.

David obtained his master's degree in physiotherapy from the University of Montreal in 2020.
From the start of his career, he developed a keen interest in pain associated with sports, especially running. He has worked with university and national athletics athletes with the Saint-Laurent Select club in Montreal. Himself an athletics athlete for 8 years and an athletics coach for 9 years, he knows running well and will know how to help you progress in this magnificent sport.
In addition, David is eager for science and keeps up to date with scientific evidence to offer you the best possible care. He has received training in running, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion, motor control (SMART REHAB) and in a psychosocial approach. The therapeutic relationship and communication are very important aspects of David's practice. It uses these tools to make you feel confident and involved in your recovery.
In everyday life, he loves to play sports, read and travel. A coach at a functional training center (Blackburn Athletics Brossard), he likes to share his passion for sport. He has been running (for 13 years), playing hockey (for 22 years), training in Crossfit and loves cross-country skiing. Plus, he loves going on backpacking trips and discovering new countries.
David will know how to put you at ease and help you in the process of achieving your goals.

Chantal obtained her master's degree in physiotherapy at the University of Montreal in 2020. She is mainly interested in musculoskeletal, sports and neurological injuries.
During her academic career, she was able to develop her skills by being involved for three consecutive years as a student therapist with the UdeM Carabins university soccer team. Having played top-level soccer herself since a young age, she understands the impact of an injury on the life of an athlete (or anyone) and the importance of optimal rehabilitation. She will be able to listen to your needs and adapt a personalized treatment plan according to your individual goals. To do this, she advocates collaboration between the therapist and the patient as well as an active approach.
Eager to perfect her knowledge, Chantal continues to deepen her practice through several post-graduate courses. In particular, she specialized in the treatment of temporomandibular (jaw) joint disorders and in sports traumatology. She also studied two years in kinesiology, which gives her additional and complementary background.
On a personal level, Chantal is an epicurean. She is passionate about travel, cooking, the outdoors and sports (including soccer, snowboarding, running, yoga, and hiking).

PPAS is a treatment technique used by physiotherapists to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. It involves the insertion of fine sterile needles into specific areas of the body, such as tight muscles or trigger points.
How does it work?
Unlike acupuncture, PPAS is not based on meridians. It is based on anatomical and scientific principles. Inserting needles stimulates the body in a number of ways:
· Muscle relaxation: The needle can help release muscle tension and reduce pain.
· Local inflammatory reaction: This may seem paradoxical, but mild controlled inflammation can promote healing by stimulating the supply of reparative cells.
· Pain modulation: PPAS can influence the nervous system to decrease pain perception.
Does it hurt?
The sensation when the needle is inserted is generally mild, such as a localized prick or cramp. Muscle jerks may occur when handling the needle.
After treatment, it is possible to experience some muscle pain for 24 to 48 hours, or to have a slight bruise.
Who can benefit from it?
PPAS can be effective in treating a variety of conditions, such as:
· Tendinopathies (tendon pain)
· Muscle tension
· Headaches, pains in the jaw, neck, back, back, pelvis, pelvis, pelvis, hips, shoulders, elbows, groins, knees, ankles, calves, etc!
· Sprains
· Sciatalgia, brachialgia, etc.
Important:
· Only physiotherapists who have completed a specific training course of 102 hours and who hold a certificate from the Professional Order of Physiotherapy of Quebec (OPPQ) are authorized to practice PPAS.
At Dimensions Santé, Véronique Coupal, physiotherapist, holds this certificate.
· Your physical therapist will assess your condition and determine if PPAS is appropriate for you.
· You will be informed of the pros and cons of this approach, and your consent will always be required before proceeding with the treatment.
Do not hesitate to ask questions to your physiotherapist if you want to know more about PPAS and if it could benefit you!

What is vestibular rehabilitation and how can physiotherapy help you at the Dimensions Santé Clinic in Saint-Hubert?
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized therapy designed to treat disorders in the vestibular system, which is essential for maintaining balance and stability. Vestibular dysfunctions can cause symptoms such as vertigo, dizziness, balance disorders, as well as coordination problems. These disorders can result from a variety of conditions, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), inner ear infections, head injuries, or neurological disorders.
At the Dimensions Santé Clinic in Saint-Hubert, we offer a vestibular rehabilitation approach adapted to your specific needs. Our goal is to help you regain optimal balance and improve your quality of life through proven physiotherapy techniques. Here is what we offer in physiotherapy for vestibular rehabilitation:
- In-depth assessment : We start with a comprehensive assessment of your vestibular system to identify the underlying causes of your symptoms. This allows us to design a personalized and targeted treatment plan.
- Vestibular rehabilitation exercises : We use specific exercises to train and strengthen your vestibular system. These exercises aim to improve the coordination between your eyes, ears, and brain, reducing vertigo and improving balance.
- Desensitization training : We guide you through desensitization techniques to help your body adapt to the movements that trigger vertigo symptoms. The aim is to decrease sensitivity to vestibular stimuli.
- Postural control rehabilitation : Our physiotherapists teach you strategies to improve your posture and stability. We use exercises that strengthen the muscles needed to maintain balance and prevent falls.
- Management of associated symptoms : We also address complementary symptoms, such as nausea and concentration disorders, using combined approaches to offer overall relief.
- Education and prevention : We provide you with practical tips for managing daily activities and avoiding situations that could worsen your symptoms. We also help you implement prevention strategies to avoid recurrences.
The pathologies most frequently treated in vestibular rehabilitation at our clinic include:
- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) : A common disorder characterized by episodes of vertigo triggered by changes in head position. Among other things, we use the Epley maneuver, an effective technique to treat BPPV by moving calcium crystals into the inner ear to relieve vertigo.
- Peripheral unilateral lesions : Disorders due to damage in an inner ear, affecting balance and coordination.
- Dynamic Postural Processing Disorder (3PD) : A condition where the vestibular system has difficulty integrating and processing sensory information, leading to persistent vertigo.
- Vestibular sequelae following concussions : Persistent disorders of balance and the vestibular system resulting from head trauma.
At the Dimensions Santé Clinic, our team of physiotherapists specialized in vestibular rehabilitation is dedicated to supporting you throughout your rehabilitation journey. We aim to restore your balance and allow you to return to an active and limitless life.
